As 2024 draws to a close, it’s incredible to reflect on what AFC Bamber has achieved this year. Together, we’ve built something special—a thriving community, both on and off the pitch.
This year alone, we’ve:
Hosted over 145 weekly Mental Health & Social Kickabout sessions, providing a safe and supportive space for anyone to enjoy football.
Increased our community to over 100 members.
Played 20 Mental Health Friendly matches, connecting with like-minded teams and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.
Expanded into the Lancashire Sunday League, a huge milestone for the club! This included:
20 league training sessions.
14 league and cup matches, taking the competitive leap.
Looking ahead to 2025:
We’re ready to build on this momentum, with ambitious plans to grow our membership, improve our performance, and continue making a positive impact on mental health through football. Including starting our Saturday Friendlies again.
Our goal is to inspire even more people to join the AFC Bamber family, breaking barriers and smashing stereotypes.
Thank you to everyone who’s been a part of this journey—players, volunteers, supporters, and partners. Here’s to another year of teamwork, resilience, and making a difference!
We are more than a Football Club, we are a Community.
